Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Monela app and website. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Who we are

Monela is operated by MergeHub L.L.C. ("we", "us"). These terms are a contract between you and us.

The service

Monela is a personal budgeting and expense-tracking app. It helps you record and organize your own financial information — it is not a bank, a payment processor, and does not move money on your behalf. Nothing in the app is financial, tax, or legal advice; decisions you make based on it are your own.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information and keep your password secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Security & Data.

Your data

You own the financial data you enter into Monela. By using the app, you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display it back to you, solely to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.

Family sharing

If you join or create a Family group, you're choosing to share group-scoped financial data with other members of that group. Removing yourself from a group stops future sharing but does not retroactively remove data already visible to members while you were part of it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for anything illegal; try to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or our systems; reverse-engineer the app beyond what the law explicitly allows; or abuse the Family invite system to contact people who haven't asked to be invited.

Third-party sign-in

If you sign in with Google or Apple, that also involves their own terms and privacy practices, which we don't control.

Availability

Monela is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for reliable uptime but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change as the app evolves.

Termination

You may stop using Monela and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Monela is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in this section limits any statutory right you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under the law of your country.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kosovo, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded Monela from the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement. Apple is not a party to these Terms of Service but is a third-party beneficiary of them.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Monela after that means you accept the updated terms.
